Evergreen perennial that quickly forms a mat of purple-bronze, glossy rosettes. The plants are topped with spikes (<12 in T) of bright indigo blooms in late spring to early summer. It's an excellent choice if you have deep shady sites where you struggle to grow grass.

'Catlin's Giant' was selected for particularly broad, large foliage.

Best grown in shade or part shade with regular water.

Mature size: 6 in T x 18-30 in W

Carefully packed for each plant

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
