White petals nested on a collarette of frilly green bracts make for a unique early spring display on 6-inch tall plants. Sometimes a violet-blue central eye. Please note the rhizomes of Wood Anemones root later in spring and may be shipped before plants are rooted-in.

NOTE: These are SUMMER DORMANT; they dry up and go "to sleep" after they bloom in spring. Other examples of summer dormant plants are Tulips and Daffodils. Do not be alarmed when they disappear with the onset of warm weather days--given proper conditions, they will be back bigger & better the next spring.

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
