Compared to other low-growing forms of manzanitas like kinnikinnick, this selection of A. edmundsii allows you to have a groundcover with sharper-pointed foliage in a paler, sage green, while staying lower and growing denser than 'Pacific Mist'. It tends to have a more winding structure than A. uva-ursi and is reportedly more tolerant of drought and heat in inland locations. That note is mostly for southern California gardners; further north, our established plants both bake in hot full sun with no support and look superb while doing so. Fast-growing, light bloomer.
