Introduced by Santa Barbara Botanic Garden this fast-growing Manzanita has distinctive glossy green leaves with large clusters of white blooms in winter.  One of the few large Manzanitas that are candidates for a large planter with proper soil adjustments. This native endemic of the Channel Islands has been growing beautifully in the full sun of our mid-Willamette Valley garden here in Oregon.

Mature size: 8 ft tall and wide; rounded treelike form with age

Minimum temperature: 15° F*

*has survived an extended cold down to 13°F in the 2024 winter, with only some winter damage.
