Arctostaphylos pajaroenis 'Brett's Beauty' is one of the best manzanita selections. Selected, but not named, by Brent Hall of the U.C. Santa Cruz Arboretum. Features the brightest red new growth, contrasting with the blue-green mature foliage, and glowing pink blooms in late winter.
Of the many pajorensis cultivars, 'Brett' and 'Paradise' have the deepest red new growth. 'Brett' generally grows about 2x taller and has larger, shorter-lived flowers.
