A. densiflora x manzanita hybrid selected by Louis Edmunds from Sonoma Co. 'Monica' is a handsome evergreen shrub with clusters of pink urn-shaped flowers in spring and gorgeous reddish-brown bark. A bit more tolerant of summer water than some manzanitas, but still happiest in summer-dry conditions. Hummingbird and bee approved.
