Low, groundcover form of manzanita with dark green narrow pointed foliage. Its a heavy bloomer with pink-blushed white bells in late winter.

Found as a seedling in the Regional Parks Botanical Garden at Tilden, named for Ron Clendenen who has volunteered for more than two decades at the garden. We are espcicially indebted to him as he has led the propagation volunteers, and he with his wife (and fellow longtime volunteer), Rosemary, spearheaded the plant sales. Many of our manzanitas have come from attending the plant sale at Tilden. Thank you!

Carefully packed for each plant

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
