Such lovely, impressionistic gray-green discs are perfect next to dark stems and clusters of light pink urn flowers; orange berries follow. A good grower, it's endemic to California, semi-coastal and coastal areas from just north of San Francisco to around Eureka. This evergreen shrub grows 4 ft by 4 ft and requires well-drained soil.
In our experience, this is one of the most difficult manzanitas to get established, but it is worth the effort. So it's a plant for experienced gardeners used to trial and error who realize plants can die for no apparent reason at all. Thus, we do not offer refunds for this particular cultivar, unless damaged during shipping.
