Nice medium-green leaves with pointed tips. The narrow new stems are a showy red that matures to mahogany-colored bark on older branches. Always a clean and attractive specimen. This manzanita will accept more shade and some summer water without keeling over. 

Formerly sold as A. 'Klamath River' (IB 679)

Found by Sean Hogan, of Cistus Design Nursery, as an odd group of hybrids out of their usual range in Orleans, CA. Likely A. hispidula and A. bakeri or A. stanfordiana. IB 679
