Petite perennial with deeply dissected foliage, adding interesting texture to the broad leaves more typical of shade plants, such as Hosta, Bergenia, Brunnera, and Trachystemon. 'Fairy Hair' has a similar texture to Astilbe, but can handle more drought (once established). Blooms with creamy white plumes in early summer.

Grows well in many soils, including clay. Prefers part shade or shade, but accepts more sun in areas with summer rain.

Carefully packed for each plant

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
