Astelia alpina, was grown from seeds collected in Tasmania in February 2018. Only 8 of the seeds collected germinated and now finally of size to divide!

It grows into low silver-green evergreen tufts in evenly moist soils and has a greenish-white flower that produces showy reddish-orange fruit. Some day we will have enough to sell! Perhaps as soon as this fall.

Mature size:  8-10 inches 

Minimum temperature: 10° F
