Native to the mountain woodlands of Japan, this charming species Astilbe has creamy-white fluffy crests of profuse, small flowers that gently curl downwards. It prefers regular summer water with morning sun or dappled to even dense shade. The flower sprays in June and July can reach 2 to 3 feet while the foliage stays lower as a nice foil.
