Brought to our attention by Dan Hinkley, this lovely and hardy Japanese begonia has masses of light pink flowers that charm gardeners from spring to fall. Luminous, olive-green, fleshy leaves and brilliant magenta stems and petioles set off these sparkling blooms. It all comes alive when the evening sun penetrates the leaves and stems, becoming a pink, green, and red Japanese porcelain. Pink seed-heads are a late-season encore. Easy to grow but not mundane. Colonizes nicely for mass plantings and a lush look. 2+' x 2'
