This excellent Meyer lemon tree produces thin-skinned, juicy fruit. Fragrant white star-shaped blossoms with creamy yellow centers are displayed among attractive glossy rounded evergreen leaves. May be kept in a pot and indoors in a cool sunroom in colder climates (like ours!) as a shrub or small tree. In the right climate, this will be a full-sized tree that produces many delicious fruits in winter. The original Meyer Lemons were introduced from China in 1908 but proved to be prone to insects and disease. The Improved Meyer Lemon is a result of breeding at the University of California between a lemon and a mandarin orange and was introduced into cultivation in 1975. Our hats off to the dedicated plant breeders.

Carefully packed for each plant

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
