Very early spring bright yellow small umbels cover this large shrub or small tree, becoming oblong, bright red, shiny, edible fruits in late summer. They're lovely as tart preserves. The pretty leaves feature bluish-green centers with cream margins. To do its best, this large shrub won't want full sun. It is disease-resistant and will tolerate clay soils.
