Lower growing selection of California Fuchsia; possibly a cross between E. septentrionale and E. canum. Arching flower stems of glowing orange-red tubular flowers are a hummingbird delight in the late-summer garden. Grows best in full sun or light shade. For a handsome, tidy plant, cut foliage back in early spring.
The best Epilobium we've seen for truly sliver foliage and scarlet blooms.
Good drainage is always best for this genus. Drought-tolerant once established, though some summer water encourages more prolific blooms.
