Dark purple flowers--some of the darkest purple of any epimedium--against chartreuse green foliage in early spring. Long-blooming; deciduous.

Epimediums grow best in light shade in well-drained soils. They are drought-tolerant once established, but certainly look better with weekly water in locales with no summer rainfall.
