Hot Malibu pink sepals announce this clumping fairy wings each spring. Its the hybrid child between E. davidii and E. x grandiflorum 'Yubae'. It has a lightly serrated edge to its foliage and a more compact growing habit thanks to its E. davidii heritage.
Epimediums grow best in light shade in well-drained soils. They are drought-tolerant once established, but certainly look better through our now totally dry summers with weekly water.
