The spring foliage is green but with the onset of colder temperatures becomes nearly black, and when it spreads, a sea of intriguing black! The yellow flowers, small nodding stars with orange veining are held above the leaves in spring - beautiful against the dark foliage.

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
