Rounded leaflets turn purple-black with beautiful contrasting green veins. The outward-facing flowers, held above the foliage, are without the long spurs characteristic to many Epimediums but have rounded, bright yellow sepals - like small, fluttering, yellow butterflies. Evergreen.*
