Large, long-spurred, caramel-colored flowers are suffused with dark orange at the cup, and wonderfully long and narrow, evergreen* leaves are rose-purple when young, their spiny edges more ornamental than threatening. This plant would be worth it for just the leaf if the flowers weren't also exquisite.
