Blooming all summer, this showiest of species Erigeron, with large, blue-purple ray flowers and yellow center disk, is a native of higher elevations in the Pacific Northwest. Tough, beautiful, and indomitable. It is most commonly found growing in open forest settings with light shade or mostly sun, but in a garden, it does beautifully in full sun as long as it has weekly water.
