This rare “dwarf” European Beech has fantastic marbled variegation on its larger-than-normal (sometimes 5 in long) leaves, and forms a dense, pyramidal shape over time. Stripes, flecks, and splashes of bright creamy yellow are most distinct on newer growth.
Some reversion is expected though maintenance pruning is well worth the time. This tree is grafted. Full sun to part shade. It does its best for us in our hot, dry summer to grow this tree in part shade to prevent sunburn.
