Azure-blue, 3–4"-long, upward-facing trumpets (the better to see their green-speckled interiors) bloom May to June above a mound of light green, glossy, evergreen leaves that hug the soil. Provide gritty soil, moisture and a lot of sun. This is a rare and amazing gift from the Alps.
