Destined to become a plant we can't live without because of its hardy nature and voluptuous flowers: stunning, blue-lavender, fish-shaped flowers with a touch of orange in the throat and on the spur. With reddish stems and a dark contrasting leaf, one really shouldn't need more. (You'd be suspect if you did.) Early to emerge in spring. An organically rich soil is best.
Foliage may be removed for shipping. Plants will regenerate new foliage from the tuberous root system.
