Grown from seed collected from a particularly robust selection of white flowering Iris tenax. May bloom in shades of white, lilac or purple. Native to grasslands and open forest west of the Cascades in Oregon, SW Washington, and Northern California. Adaptive to full sun and partial shade in moist and dry sites; appreciates protection from hot afternoon sun. Clumping rhizomes are winter deciduous.
