Midnight purple, almost black flowers have a fine gold saber in each petal. Be sure to give it a very light visual foil for adequate contrast so it doesn't disappear into oblivion; mix with whites, light blues, lavenders, golds. Mysterious, intriguing, and very elegant. Clumping rhizome with 16" stems; fairly drought-tolerant but appreciates a little summer water.
