Tender evergreen groundcover-subshrub with whorls of emerald foliage decorating strong stems and complemented by white "snapdragon" blooms with purplish hues. Lysionotus is a member of the African Violet family, Gesneriaceae.
Lysionotus are generally found growing as epiphytes. They grow best in bright, indirect light with even moisture and good drainage. It's a relatively easy plant to grow in containers, enjoying the seasonal migration from outdoors back inside for the winter. Be sure to keep the soil moist but not soggy.
