Neillia sinensis is a Chinese deciduous shrub with foliage resembling a Rubus. The new foliage offers attractive purple-bronze hues before transitioning to green. The early summer blooms are 2-3 inch dangling clusters in shades of pink.

Best grown in full sun with regular water for foliage color and prolific blooms. In our PNW hot dry summers, it prefers partial shade in the late afternoon and weekly water. It does not seem to mind our heavy clay if on a slope but will not tolerate being waterlogged.

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
