This species, with masses of small magenta "sparklers," blooms for months on end and is adored by hummingbirds! It's a native of Oaxaca, Mexico where it's found growing at elevations up to 10,000 feet. Grass-green narrow leaves clasp red stems. A tough and rewarding gem.
