Plagiorhegma dubium (formerly Jeffersonia dubia) is the east Asian relative of our North American native twin leaf. It features bright pale purple flowers instead of white. The blooms look like large single anemones and can be up to 2 inches wide, more commonly 1-inch. Flowers emerge in early spring before the kidney-shaped foliage. New growth in pink before transitioning to green for the summer.

Best grown in light shade with humus-rich, well-draining soils.

Carefully packed for each plant

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
