Jaw-dropping light yellow flowers with red spots in early spring. Wowser! Best kept in the protection of a cool greenhouse during the winter. Even though the zones you will find say that it survives outside at 10 degrees F or less, we have yet to have success with that. Rich humus on the side of a decaying log or stump is beneficial. The flowers emerge before the foliage and it is normal for the pseudobulb from the previous season to die off. Best to divide after flowering is finished.
