Striking pure white bases on each leaf adjacent to the red stem give way to muted dark and light green parallel-striped pointed leaves. White and green bell-like flowers adorn the stems in spring. Dappled or light shade shade to encourage the bold variegation. Grows relatively quickly for the genus.
The leaves will emerge all green and transition to white and green as the stems mature. Stable variegation may take a couple of years to show on newly established plantings.
May be shipped as bare root divisions.
