Named for the wife of the UK plantsman Bob Brown, who introduced this vigorous P. longifolia hybrid in 1995. 'Diana Clare' was selected as an outstanding silver-leaf variety tolerant of heat and resistant to powdery mildew! Short stalks of lavender-pink flowers emerge in early spring and then age to cobalt blue. The lance-shaped leaves, edged in spotted silver, mature to nearly silver as the season progresses.
