Bromeliad with long, narrow, barbed and sharply pointed foliage rosettes, often mistaken for a Yucca or Hesperaloe. Excellent container plant for those of us whose hardiness zone is uncooperative. Native to South America, primarily Northern Argentina.
Best grown in sharply draining soil in full sun. Tolerates long seasonal drought. Most commonly killed with poor drainage.
