A hybrid of Quercus wislizenii and an unknown parent. This gorgeous large shrub has strong, horizontal branching. In contrast to its sturdy architecture, it is graced with cute, tiny acorns and delicately spiny, glossy evergreen leaves with soft grey undersides. The specimen pictured was planted in our gardens in about 2003 and reached 15 feet tall and wide by 2018.
