A species rose from China, named for Brian Mulligan, former Curator of the Arboretum in Seattle: large yellow bosses ornament single white blooms in profuse, large, pendent clusters that become multitudinous, small, blood-red hips. It has a somewhat fruity fragrance and is enjoyed by bees and butterflies; it flowers well even in light shade. Fall brings significant color in various golds.
Mature size: 30 ft T x 15 ft W, eventually 60 x 30 - best for a large landscape space.
