Lovely lavender flowers grace this apparent cross between S. apiana and S. clevelandii.  The pleasantly aromatic semi-evergreen foliage is similar in hue to a typical White Sage with the leaves being somewhat smaller and darker.  Recorded in Betsy Clebsch's book, Sages for Every Garden, "It was introduced in 1993 and named S. 'Vicki Romo' in honor of a young student at Claremont Graduate School who had been in the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden's doctoral program".  Appreciates full sun in freely draining soil.  Pollinated by bumblebees, hummingbirds, butterflies, and other native insects.
