A small salvia, thick with tiny, midnight-purple blooms flowers late in summer and continues until frost. 'Nuevo Leon' quickly forms a clump. Place against light green or its complement of yellow-orange for a little visual excitement, or with other blues and purples for deep, dark richness - a saturated and glowing color that holds its own! This is a woody salvia and the foliage is wonderfully, spicily pungent - perhaps the most pungent of any sage. (It's very important not to cut back the dead foliage until new growth begins in spring.) Rounded form.

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
