Large, arching and bushy lilac-pink "squirrel tails" on tall stems add a whimsical note to the late spring and early summer border. Occasionally they'll produce blooms even longer. Cute, "pinked," gray-green oval leaves form a basal clump. It's tolerant of many conditions and deer-resistant. It comes to us from Japan and is named after the mountain, Haku.
