Another woodland bellwort whose main stem appears to pierce each leaf before branching at the top to hold one or two long yellow bells in spring. At home in the mountains of North Carolina, it is widely spread along much of the eastern coast of North America. Best in rich woodland soil in partial shade and grows about 14” tall. It will go dormant in summer.
