Zephyranthes is native to Texas, Mexico, Colombia and Guatemala. Its bright golden-yellow upward-facing flowers shine among grassy green leaves, bursting into bloom following rains. The flowers appear several times a season, the main show being generally in August – September. These pest-proof bulbs don't seem to be picky about the soil, but they are happiest in full sun and will grow in pots in the water, too!
